Because each extension is completely pre-fabricated, we remove the slowest element of an extension; the construction! The units can take between 3 and 12 weeks to build in our UK factory, from the order date, to the time arriving on site.
So, how can we claim to only take one week?! Below is a breakdown of the entire week spent at your house.
-
 |
Monday
- Arrive on site. Prepare and install the Heli Pile foundation system.
- Begin work on re-routing electric and plumbing supply - effectively creating a socket on the outside of the property.
- eXtension is transported from the factory to a nearby holding yard.

 |
Tuesday
- Prepare any new openings that have to be created. Make horizontal beams across openings using the Bar Flex Reinforcement System.
- First provisional craning date.
|
-
 |
Wednesday
- Second provisional craning date (to be used if the wind is too high on the Tuesday).
- Connect up eXtension by 'plugging' into the house. The eXtension is now useable.

 |
Thursday/Friday
- Use NovaBrik to clad around the outside of the eXtension. Other outside walls could be used instead - e.g. bricks/mortar - but this may take greater time.
- Sign off eXtension with building control.
