Retro Flex - Overview
The Retro Flex system of wall tie replacement is available in 3 different diameters of 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm. The Grade 304 austenitic stainless steel tie has the advantage of offering a non-expanding mechanical fixing on the far leaf and a resin fixing on the near leaf.
Because the fixing method employed does not induce additional stresses into the substrate, Retro Flex can be used in many and varied materials, from poured concrete to aircrete blocks to Devon cob. Minimum edge distance requirements are eliminated.
Random proof testing of the fixing can be easily performed using a Target Universal Test Unit. BRE Digest 401 offers guidance for the proof test requirements, and Target is able to offer technical help and advice.
