Dri Flex
Dri Flex ties were developed as a result of the identified need to drill smaller holes in masonry to control the amount of spalling caused when drilling the near leaf. A large hole drilled through a brick can result in up to half of it spalling away. This material can cause bridging of the cavity and moisture transfer, and leaves a much reduced fixing thickness for the near leaf connection. Drilling for the Dri Flex tie requires hole sizes reduced to between 5mm and 7mm, which dramatically reduces the spalling of the brick.

Dri Flex - Accessories
The Dri Flex Power Driver is required when installing Dri Flex fixings. It is placed into the end of an SDS+ Hammer Drill (not included) and - purely on hammer action - installs the tie into the inner leaf.
The Dri Flex Power Driver Extension fits onto the end of the Dri Flex Power Driver (not included) and provides extra reach when installing Dri Flex ties.
The endoscope is ideal when searching the cavity of a building for obstructions. Sometimes it is a wonder what one can find lurking behind the outer leaf! The endoscope consists of an interscope, scope protector, drill bit, mains power/charger unit, rechargable battery, spare quartz halogen lamp, mains lead, battery lead and plastic storage case.
The metal detector is used for looking for existing wall ties.
